A 6,000-square-foot co-op at 1010 Fifth Avenue led Manhattan’s luxury market last week, asking just under $17 million. The seven-bedroom unit across from the Met was the priciest of 27 homes asking $4 million or more to enter contract. A 3,800-square-foot penthouse at 180 East 88th Street came in second at about $13 million. Overall, the signed contracts were down from the prior week, with a total asking volume of $188 million and an average 8% discount. Sponsor units, mostly condos, had deeper price cuts and longer market times, averaging five and a half years unsold.
