NewYork-Presbyterian refinanced its 36-story Helmsley Medical Tower at 505 East 70th Street with a $186.1 million loan from the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York. The new financing replaces a previous $171.4 million DASNY loan and helps refund multifamily housing bonds used to build the 517-unit property, which houses clinics, hotel rooms, and staff residences. The hospital also recently expanded with a Bronx primary care facility and operates a 75,000-square-foot spine center at Hudson Yards. Meanwhile, Northwell Health is pursuing a major rezoning for a nearby 1.4 million-square-foot medical complex.
