Texas developer Shawn Todd of Todd Interests is in contract to buy the 36,000-acre Whitney Park estate in Long Lake, NY, along with the historic Cady Hill mansion in Saratoga Springs, for $125 million. The vast property, listed at $3,425 per acre, features multiple homes including the 7,000-square-foot Camp Deerlands and the 5,600-square-foot Camp Togus, plus lakes, tennis courts, and a boathouse. Todd plans a luxury resort with amenities like a golf course and fine dining, developing about 1,000 to 1,500 acres. Environmentalists oppose the sale, preferring state conservation. Closing is expected this fall.
