Silverstein Properties added a major housing component to its $7 billion casino proposal in Manhattan’s Far West Side, offering to convert offices into 2,000 apartments—25% of which would be affordable. Partnering with Metro Loft, the plan is contingent on securing one of three downstate casino licenses. The casino would rise at 41st Street and 11th Avenue, with housing sites still under evaluation. The proposal, named Avenir, also includes a 1,000-room Hyatt hotel and extensive dining options.
