Vanbarton Group is marketing its development site at 3 West 29th Street in NoMad, aiming to capitalize on the Midtown South rezoning that could unlock roughly 700,000 square feet of residential space. The site, once owned by HFZ Capital, was acquired by Vanbarton via foreclosure in 2021. CBRE and Bob Knakal’s BKREA are shopping the site, which could fetch north of $250 million based on current land prices. The property is adjacent to the Marble Collegiate Church, which once partnered in the project. Vanbarton may also choose to develop it themselves. The rezoning plan is expected to be approved this summer.
